Cultivation Method Organic Farming
Color Bright and uniform green color throughout the leaf. The leaf surface has a higher gloss than other banana leaf types.
Thickness and Toughness Cavendish banana leaves are of medium thickness but have outstanding toughness.
Heat resistance Highly resistant to steaming. The leaves do not easily turn black like some other types of banana leaves, keeping the food looking fresh after steaming.
Aroma Has a unique, mild aroma. While not as strong as the ‘Tani’ banana leaf when heated, it has a “clean” scent.
Leaf size The leaves are larger and longer than many native banana species because the Cavendish banana tree is large, resulting in a high usable area per leaf.
Storage Seedless tamarind can be stored for a long time by compressing it to remove air. Or store at low temperatures to prevent discoloration (turning dark).
